This year is my second year to be full time at White Oak Intermediate, and I am very excited to have your student in my class.

We will be learning how to think about our reading as we read.  This will consist of teaching strategies for better comprehension, thus expanding their knowledge in all subject areas.  I believe that “Reading feeds our souls.” and that “A love for reading will expand our knowledge of our world.”

We will be using this new knowledge to help us improve our writing.  By reading, students discover how others express themselves through writing.  Our writing skills will greatly improve as we learn new ways to express ourselves my confidently.  This will be achieved through grammar lessons, dictionary skills, spelling lessons, and writing.

Social Studies this year, is an introduction to the history of our Great State of Texas.  Students will demonstrate their new knowledge through their reading and writing.
